Windsor

The magnificent residence of Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II.

An imposing tower fortifying the outer wall of Windsor Palace.

The main yard at Windsor Palace.

The central tower of the palace. When the Royal Flag is raised (in place of the Union Jack) it means that the queen is in residence. Although you can't see the flag in this picture, the Queen Mum was there during our tour.

Denis and I at the palace. Photographic proof that we actually got along during this trip (what a saintly person Denis is for putting up with me!).

My dream grass-cutting job. In order to navigate the steep slopes around the central tower, this worker hand to be anchored to a tree and let himself up and down with a rope.
